Self assessment tax - Self-employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS)

HMRC have started contacting taxpayers about their eligibility for support under SEISS, taxpayers who already have a government gateway ID (those who complete a self assessment tax return) will be able to use that ID when applying for their SEISS grant. Those who do not have a government gateway ID will be asked to create one when they use the government eligibility checker website. Applying through SEISS site will not require an authentication code being sent in the post. There is no requirement to get your accountant or tax advisor to complete the eligibility checker.

The eligibility checker can be found here.
